Annual Water Quality Report

In order to ensure that tap water is safe to drink, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment prescribe regulations that limit the amount of certain contaminants in water provided by public water systems.

The Consumer Confidence Report is our chance to tell you more about the water you use every day –where it comes from and what is in it. The employees at PAWSD are dedicated to making sure you get the best water quality possible. They include treatment plant operators, distribution operators, laboratory chemists, and service technicians.

PAWSD tests your water daily to make sure it is safe to drink. We monitor for more than 100 substances in the water including bacteria, pesticides and herbicides, asbestos, lead, copper, petroleum products and radioactive contaminants.

You may notice on the Consumer Confidence Report that fluoride is present in the water. This mineral occurs naturally in our water as a result of eroding sediments - it is not added by PAWSD.
